James is an M.D. and an associate professor of Medicine in Infectious Diseases at the University of Nebraska Medical Center where he co-directs the Global Center for Health Security. His expertise touches on every facet of infectious diseases - from fieldwork in Africa during the Ebola outbreak to serving at the White House on biodefense. Dr. Lawler is interviewed by Dr. Jason Moats, an Associate Division Director of the Emergency Services Training Institute, Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service, with a joint appointment with the Bush School of Government and Public Policy at Texas A&M.
